The Call for Proposals: Support for Civil Society in the Republic of Moldova, Ref. EuropeAid/171210/DD/ACT/ has been published. The Call for Proposals: Support for Civil Society in the Republic of Moldova, Ref. EuropeAid/171210/DD/ACT/ was published on Friday 12 March 2021.

The global objective of this call for proposals is to enable civil society (including local action groups) and young leaders to be active pillars in democracy, community building and policy dialogue related to the Association Agreement (including at local level).

The specific objectives of this call for proposals are:

Lot 1:  to increase local CSOs’ competency to better perform their roles as actors of governance at local level.

Lot 2:  to contribute to a more favourable environment for social entrepreneurship.

Lot 3: to support youth organisations at local level.

Lot 4: to strengthen the consultative and monitoring roles of think tanks in the implementation of the EU –Republic of Moldova Association Agreement.

Lot 5: to provide social canteen services for vulnerable people (e.g. children, youth, elderly, homeless, people with special needs).

The priorities of this call for proposals are: increasing local CSOs competency in the field of good governance, promoting social entrepreneurship, supporting youth organisations at local level, strengthening the monitoring and consultative role of think tank in the implementation of the EU – MD Association Agreement and providing social canteen services for vulnerable people.

All actions should be gender sensitive and rights-based. The actions should address crosscutting issues related to gender-equality, environmental practice, inclusion of people with disabilities and minority groups.

The deadline for the submission of concept notes is at 26 April 2021, 16:00 h (Brussels time). In order to convert this deadline to local time you can use any online time converter tool that takes into account time zones and winter/summer time changes (example available here). The lead applicant is strongly advised not to wait until the last day to submit its concept note, since heavy Internet traffic or a fault with the Internet connection (including electricity failure, etc.) could lead to difficulties in submission.
